Flawless complex

There are times during the year when my skin tends to breakout from the stress and just change of skin care products. During the fall I switch to heavier moisturizers and I use about 3 or 4 products on my skin. To fight off the breakouts and even out my complexion I swear by this:

Granted it smells just like your cats litter box and taste just as bad it works. It retails for about $45 and I have only purchased it at Sephora.

Shoulder Situation

As a defense mechanism I tend to shop when I am stressed. Thankfully though I tend to only sale shop and just look at the savings.

So I was inspired by the following outfit:

Cute right and perfect for walking around on campus. So I headed to my favorite spots and picked up the following and huge discounts.

This shirt in cocoa (which is not really brown but a mauve color) for $8.99 (WAS $58.00)

These navy pants $17.99 (WAS $49.00) and of course I had to get a pair of shoes!

I got this pair because I am not really sure about the men's trend that's going on right now and I can sorta ease into it with this shoe. I would have loved if they came in a luggage color though. The shoes were 24.98 (WAS 55.00) with free shipping.

Weekends

So this weekend to get away or just procrastinate on assignments I will eventually have to begin I took the mini tour around Philly. Granted Philly is a small scaled city I always manage to get lost in it. The first stop was this diner called Continental which has sorta 70's vibe about it. You can sit at a balcony table which has swing chairs and at the time I thought it would be fun. The tables are far to short to reach you when you sit in the swing chair so the whole meal was me leaning to reach the table. Also someone told me that when you order well it does not mean well done, for something to be well done you have to say well done. I only ordered my burger well and it had a touch of pink in it. Not enough pink to stop me from enjoying the bacon cheesiness of it but I just thought it was odd.

After that I headed to the Cleopatra showing at the museum, it was mostly adults as all the kids went to the more interesting parts like the fog machines. I also had to shut my eyes a few times at the IMAX showing, it made me feel all sorts of dizzy and now you know why I refuse to go on roller coasters.

Then it was off home but not before stopping by for some frozen yogurt which was refreshing since it was about 90 out and I had walked a few miles.

List now look later

So for this year I have made a conscious effort to really be organized, and for the most part it's working. After I almost lost my David Yurman white and yellow gold (not silver) bracelet and gave myself a heart attack. I told myself I needed to stop being so lazy when it came to my personal things. I now organize my jewelry and makeup collection on a weekly basis. When it comes to closet and must haves I always use my iphone notes.

Here I tend to jot down things that need replacing and must have items. My list for the year is just about done.

Black Turtleneck - Done. Picked one up from Old Navy since they had a promotion on free shipping for $50 dollars worth of merchandise. This is a staple since it tends to fade every season with frequent washings.

Boyfriend Jeans (done) - I was also on the lookout for a pair of boyfriend jeans so I headed to the Gap online. Since Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic and Piperlime are all connected the free shipping on $50 or more extended to all sister stores.

I can wear the outfit with my Burberry trench, my inspiration was this.

I still have on the list:

Camel Top

Leopard Scarf (saw one at Zara the other day I will probably pick it up)

Arm warmers - I want a pair of really nice ones nothing to pricey since I will be losing them most likely.

Schoolhouse rock

Yay for the outlets, since my job will be being a student for the rest of the year I no longer need a conservative getup. Not only do I not need it (right now at least) but I think of all the money I will be saving. Seriously a suit from Jcrew (my usual suspect) was about 400. Then I had shoe costs and other outfit needs. I am glad that the money can be used towards other things like handbags haha, or more books :( and hair supplies.

My hair has been growing my goal is to grow out the dye and try to be natural for at least one year. No lie its work, my crazy hair routine is as follows:

Sunday - deep condition with my heat cap then wash and either braid or twist my hair.

Monday night - retwist at night using Ms. Jessie curly pudding and shea butter. Always sleep with scarf or satin bonnet.

Tuesday night - Bantu knots at night using spritz of all natural oils and Carols Daugthers.

Wed - deep condition with my heat cap then wash and either braid or twist my hair.

Thursday - retwist at night using Ms. Jessie curly pudding and shea butter.

Friday - Bantu knots at night using spritz of all natural oils and Carols Daugthers.

Saturday - two strand twist in eight sections

When my hair gets a bit longer I will begin putting it in buns and ponytails. I am addicted to Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Butter Cream and Alma Cream (heavy winter cream). I apply the cream to my hair as soon as I step out the shower from washing.

The only thing when you order from them you have to make sure you put insurance on your item. I ordered something and somehow the postal service misent the item. They to this day have no clue where it is, I have a feeling though that someone from the post office is walking around with softer hair.
